Appeals & Disputes
Review the official process for submitting appeals, challenging competition decisions and resolving scoring or judging disputes.
Only the Team Captain may submit an appeal on behalf of the team.
An appeal must be submitted to the Head Judge or Appeals Judge within 15 minutes of the official score being posted.
Appeals submitted after this window will not be considered, except in exceptional circumstances determined by the Event Director.
Appeals may relate to:
- Incorrect recording of a score, time or distance.
- Incorrect application of a published movement standard or penalty.
- A material judging or equipment issue that affected the team's score.
The Team Captain must complete an official Appeal Form stating:
- Team name.
- Event number.
- Specific decision being challenged.
- Reason for the appeal.
The Appeals Panel may:
- Uphold the original decision.
- Correct the athlete/team's score.
- Remove, reduce or increase a penalty where appropriate.
The Appeals Panel's decision is final and will be communicated to the Team Captain before results are finalized wherever reasonably possible.
