Altitude Games Terms & Conditions

Dear Athlete,

By registering for Altitude Games, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Introduction

Registration confirms your acceptance of all competition rules and terms.

The organisers may update these rules where necessary to ensure safety and fair competition.

2. Eligibility

• Athletes must be at least 18 years old unless special approval has been granted.
• Athletes must register in the correct competition category.

The Altitude Games categories are:

• Elite Men
• Elite Women
• Scaled Men
• Scaled Women
• Masters Men Elite (+40yrs)
• Masters Women Elite (+40yrs)
• Masters Men Scaled (+40yrs)
• Masters Women Scaled (+40yrs)
• Team of Four (2 Men + 2 Women)

The organisers reserve the right to move or remove athletes who do not meet the applicable category requirements.

3. Registration

Registration is only confirmed after:

• Completing the registration form.
• Full payment of the required registration fee.
• Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

• Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Registration closes once capacity is reached.

4. Payment & Refund Policy

• Registration fees must be paid in full.
• Registration fees are non-refundable.
• Refunds will not be issued due to injury, illness, travel delays, visa issues, personal reasons, or failure to attend.
• Entry transfers may be allowed before the published deadline, subject to organiser approval.

5. Athlete Check-in

All athletes must complete official check-in before competing.

During check-in, athletes must:

• Present a valid ID or passport.
• Sign the liability waiver.
• Verify their competition category.
• Receive their athlete wristband.
• Attend the mandatory athlete briefing.

Failure to check in within the official time may result in removal from the competition without a refund.

6. Competition Format

• Workouts, movement standards, and scoring will be announced before competition.
• Athletes must report to their assigned heats on time.
• Judges' decisions are final unless an official protest is submitted within the allowed protest window.
• The Event Director may adjust schedules or heats for safety and operational reasons.

7. Code of Conduct

Athletes must:

• Respect judges, volunteers, staff, spectators, and fellow competitors.
• Display good sportsmanship at all times.
• Follow all competition rules and instructions.

Abusive language, fighting, harassment, cheating, or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in immediate disqualification.

8. Disqualification

Athletes may be disqualified for:

• Cheating.
• Using banned substances.
• Unsafe behaviour.
• Providing false registration information.
• Ignoring judges or officials.
• Serious misconduct.

Disqualified athletes will forfeit rankings, medals, and prize money.

9. Medical Fitness & Assumption of Risk

• Functional fitness involves strenuous physical activity and carries inherent risks.
• By registering, athletes confirm that they are medically fit to compete.
• Participation is entirely at the athlete's own risk.
• The organisers may withdraw an athlete if participation is considered unsafe.

10. Anti-Doping & Fair Play

• Altitude Games supports clean sport.
• The use of prohibited substances is strictly forbidden.
• Violations will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of prizes.

11. Prize Money

• Prize money will be awarded according to the official final results.
• Athletes must complete all workouts and comply with competition rules to remain eligible.
• Prize money may be withheld if rule violations are discovered after the event.

12. Media Release

By participating, athletes grant Altitude Games permission to use photographs, videos, and competition results for promotional and marketing purposes without additional compensation.

13. Personal Belongings

Athletes are responsible for their own personal belongings. The organisers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

14. Event Changes

Altitude Games reserves the right to modify schedules, workouts, or event formats due to weather, safety concerns, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.

15. Judging & Protests

Judges' decisions are final.

Official protests must be submitted within the announced protest period.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.

17. Acceptance

By registering for Altitude Games, every athlete confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
